RI, SLOVAKIA ENHANCE COOPERATION IN AGRICULTURE

London, Jan 21 (ANTARA) - Indonesia and Slovakia have agreed to establish cooperation in agriculture, especially in farming techniques, by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

The MoU was signed by Indonesian Agriculture Minister Anton Apriyantono and his Slovakian counterpart, Stanislav Becik, an official dealing with political, protocol and media affairs at the Indonesian embassy in Bratislava, Made P. Sentanajaya, said here Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the Charge d`Affaires at the Indonesian embassy in Bratislava, Firdauzie Dwiandika, said the visit of an Indonesian delegation to Slovakia is proof of the enhanced relations and bilateral cooperation between Indonesia and Slovakia in the economy, especially in agriculture.

Both countries also agreed to increase the building of the agricultural sector under a technical cooperation based on the two countries' laws and regulations.

Under the cooperation, an exchange will be conducted on science, scientists and experts, technology transfer, and also trainings and seminars.
